1993-0000 A Plea by David Paul Dunphy, Los Angeles from 1993-0800 Sudarshan, Volume 2, Number 4, Page 9
Let us maintain the momentum generated by the visit of our Mother and assume our position as a true expression of pure collectivity. For this Shri Mataji, we offer this humble plea:
From the land of limitless bounty,
on whose shores great oceans lie,
a song of love and brotherhood
from the collective heart does rise!
Our voices blend and meld as one
to say a silent prayer,
that sixteen thousand bhaktas strong
will find true refuge here!
Our tears have fallen like so much rain
on bleak and barren ground,
but now we see before our eyes
a vast and fruited plain.
It is you, Oh Mother, who have thrown apart
the doors of heaven wide,
to let your rays of love shine forth,
and beckon us all inside.
