Deep inside my being
my soul is permeated with pure desire

Desire that is steady
Desire that is full of hope
Desire generated by light within

As this pure desire
seeps through to the surface

It encounters areas of darkness
It encounters muddy swamps of fear
It encounters hardened stones of rejection
It encounters forces of past misdeeds

So, when it reaches the surface of my being
Sometimes, it has become a darkened stream

Mostly, though, it is just colored
Enriched with experience and knowledge
Still carrying the light that gave it birth within

Sometimes, though,
When this desire, still pure, touches my heart
the enlightened flow shoots through my being like a fountain

The fountain then creates a river
A river streaming with love and light
Desires putting my inner turbines to work

Creating actions

Actions, gentle and benevolent
Actions, which make the Mother smile
Actions, flowing with love, compassion, evolution
Actions, which strive for union with the greater one

Actions, which are helping pure desires
enriched with love and light
streaming to the surface
in my fellow human beings
