Human beings
have divided up the world
into large numbers of religions

Not only into those who profess
to know the Gods Divine

Also into those who profess to know
the Gods of Science
the Gods of Evolution

They know that they are right
It is the others who are wrong

They could not possibly believe
what the others do makes any sense

They would betray their kind
if they would allow themselves
to consider any of the others methods

The Great Spirit
the all-pervading power
does not know of such divisions

Even the Spirit within
a reflection of the Great in us
does not know of these divisions either

Placed inside each and every heart
Love is the only method that it knows
Desires for unity and recognition are
the only desires that can awaken it

Seeing the different reflections of the Great
in oneself and others

Eventually leads us to understanding
Eventually allows us to love
ourselves and others
