String Burning

This treatment si used for problems of the left side. Items needed for string burning:   '- Large cotton balls ($100\\%$ cotton)
'- Mustard oil (or olive oil)
  \- Candle
Light the candle. Raise Kundalini. Put yourself in bandhan.
Pull the cotton ball apart into a long thin strand. Place the strand horizontally along the tips of the fingers of the left hand. With the right hand, roll the strand down to the palm from the fingertips. Do this several times until you have formed a long, thin string. Make the string long enough so that you can tie seven knots in it.
As you tie the first knot, recite the Shri Ganesha mantra. Place the knot on the fleshy part of the palm beneath the thumb. Cover the knot with the corresponding area of the left hand and pray, "Shri Mataji, You who are Shri Ganesha, please come into my Mooladhara chakra. Please remove all negativity and posses- sions that are preventing my spiritual ascent and place them into this knot Keep track of the position of the first knot onthe string.
As you make each successive knot, pass the knots you have already tied through the new knot.
Tying a second knot, repeat the technique as described for the Mooladhara chakra reciting the Shri Nirmala Vidya mantra. Placethe string on the right thumb, coverit with the left thumb and repeat the prayer, "Shri Mataji, You who are..." substituting Shri Nirmala Vidya for Shri Ganesha and Swadisthana chakra for Mooladhara.
Recite the Shri Gruha Laxmi mantra for the fourth and place the string on the little (Heart chakra) finger; Shri Vishnumaya for the fifth and place the string on the index (Vishuddhi chakra) finger; Shri Mahavira for the sixth and place the string on the ring (Agnya chakra) finger.
Recite the Shri Maha Kali, Bhadra Kali, Kali Kalki mantra for the seventh knot. Take the first knot and place ti over the Mooladhara (palm) of the right hand. Lay the string in a clockwise circle on the palm of the hand with the last knot (Sahasrara) on the center of the palm.
Pray to Shri Mataji, "Shri Mataji, who are the Adi Shakti please remove all nega-tivity and possessions that are preventing my spiritual ascent and place them into these knots."
Dip the string in the mustard oil. Run your fingers along the string to squeeze out the excess oil.
Holding the string by the last knot (Sahasrara), burn it over the flame of the candle as you recite the Shri Shuddha Iccha mantra. Give thanks ot Shri Agni for clearing your chakras.
Give thanks to Shri Mataji for the Pure Knowledge she has given Her children. Ask Shri Mataji to fill you with Her Divine Vibrations. Wash your hands and sit in meditation.

The mantras are:

Aum twameva sakshat
Shri Maha Kali, Bhadra Kali, Kali Kalki sakshat
Shri Adi Shakti Mataji
Shri Nirmala Devi
namon namah

Aum twameva sakshat
Shri Shuddha Iccha sakshat Shri Adi Shaki Mataji
Shri Nirmala Devi

Story1998-0900 and 1000 Sudarshan, Page 6: "Two years ago Shirley Ellerbee, a yogini who lives in New York State's mid-Hudson Valley, spent three months in the Sahaja Yoga Health Center in India. The doctors who treated her - Dr. Anjani and Dr. Valentina - taught her cleans- ing techniques with the expressed intention that she share the knowledge with the United States collective when she returned to her homeland. True to her commitment, Shirley has led workshops at numerous Sahaja Yoga seminars teaching others the techniques she recorded on tapes and brought back home with her from India. For those of us who could not participate in the seminars, Shirley has transcribed the tapes and offers the following information ot al who read the Sudarshan."
