ŚHRĪ CONFUCIUS in the Words of ŚHRĪ MĀTĀJĪ
"But in some people that stability has to be brought about. No problem. You have obtained that thing, you recognized it, you reached there and there is a complete arrangement for bringing stability.
As soon as that stability is achieved, in Absolute Peace and Joy, you achieve that Witness State described by Śhrī Kṛiṣhṇa, by Jesus, by all the Scriptures whether by Zoroaster, Socrates, Confucius or any of Dattātreya's Incarnations.
Till today, these people who were of a higher state, who would take birth in a higher state, would talk in a manner that others were unable to understand. They could see matters of the tenth floor and others would remain on the first floor and they would just not understand what was being talked about."
1975-1222 Public Program (Hindi), Day 1, Prabhu ke Prem kā Anubhav (Experiences of Lord's Love), Gita Mandir Hall, Bharatiya Vidyā Bhavan (3rd floor), 29, Kulapati K.M. Munshi Mārg, Chowpatty, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
"It has been since ages, one simple question: "How to reach the Infinite through this finite mind, through this rationality, which God has given us?" This is the eternal problem which has been there from the times of Socrates, Confucius. Kant, Hegel, all these great philosophers have been only asking this question in all their findings and search: "How to reach the Infinite through this finite?" "
1976-0319 Talk to Sahaja Yogis, It Is a Spontaneous Growth of Your Being into that Infinite Realm of God's Grace and The Articulation of Your Personality, Seminar, Day 1, Session 2 (evening), Cowasji Jehangir Hall, 15, Madam Cama Rd, Mantralaya, Fort, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
"After that there is Nābhī center. For Nābhī center you know that whatever has happened in the evolution from fish to human being, everything has happened here.
For helping in it many Big Gurus have Incarnated inside us, whom you know from Socrates to Confucius, Moses, Rāja Janak, Muhammad Sāhab, Nāṇak Sāhab, Kabīr, all these Big Gurus, all of Them have worked hard on it and made dharma of human beings. It is the dharma of human beings inside, in the stomach, not outside.
Like dharma of this gold is that it does not get spoiled, it is untarnishable.
In the same way Ten Dharma[s] of human beings are formed inside the stomach."
1979-0312 Public Program (Hindi), Day 3, Session 2 (evening), Mūlādhāra Chakra or Realization of Divine and Spirit, New Delhi, India
"Now, all the Gurus, all the Gurus who came, say from ... we can start from Socrates, then Abraham, Moses, this is the Guru Tattwa, is the Principle of Master, Primordial Masters. The Principle is born again and again. In India we can say the Ādināth [Ṛiṣhabhadeva, first Tīrthaṅkara in Jainism], we had one Ādināth, the Guru long time back. Then we had Dattātreya, we had uh Janaka, Nāṇaka, Sāī Nāth.
We had in the Middle East Muhammad Sāhab, Lao Tze in China, Confucius.
All these Great Principles of Gurus who were born, They had one job to do is to establish your dharma. Their job was not to give you Realization.
You must understand: everyone has one's own job.
See, Mine is a horrible job [laughing:] because I have to do everybody's jobs.
But Their job was just to establish your dharma. They came at that time in those places where it was needed the most.
So, these Ten Principles, as I told you, They established [dharma].
They are created in the Void.
As you see here the Void part, this part is made out of the water element. So, whatever miracles They did, had something to do with water, like They could create water anywhere They wanted to. They would not cure people. All of Them have created water in the desert or in the places where ... like in ... Nāṇaka has created a Pan̄jā Sāhab they call it, or everywhere They have been able to create water. Whatever They touched, They could create water out of it.
Water is the life, life force which sustains us. Without water we cannot live! The is the sustainance [sustenance].
But, They actually are symbolized in an ocean, in the ocean, because They give us the salt, the salt of life, which gives us the sustainance [sustenance]. If you see the salt, if we do not have salt in our body, we'll have no sustainance [sustenance]."
1980-0728 Public Program, The Principle of Guru (Moderation Is the Way We Really Solve the Problem and The Innocence Is in the Center), Sea is the Guru (The Sea Is to Be Worshiped and So Much to Learn from the Sea) and Your Dharma Is the Way Your Attention Is (Dharma Is Balancing), Caxton Hall, 10 Caxton Street, Westminster, London, UK
"And these Ten Sustainances [Sustenances] are represented by Great Prophets. The Principle is called as Ādi Guru, in Sanskrit language, the Primordial Master. He had incarnated on this Earth as Abraham, Moses, as Lao Tze, as Confucius, as Socrates. Recently, He has been as Sāī Nāth of Śhirḍī, not the other fellow, and other great people have been like Nāṇaka, Janaka.
All these Great Saints can ... came on this Earth to tell us: how to keep in the center, how to keep our sustenance, how to be human beings.
As carbon has got four valances, we too have got ten valances. We have to maintain those ten valances within us! That's what they came to tell us."
1981-0325 Public Program, Cycle 1, Day 2, Mūlādhāra and Swādhiṣhṭhāna Chakras, Maccabean Hall, 146, Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst (eastern suburb of Sydney), New South Wales, Australia
"Moses, Abraham, Confucius, Socrates, Muhammad, Nāṇak, Janak, Lao Tze, these are the Primordial Masters, the Principle of Primordial Masters, the Ādi Gurus, who incarnated on this Earth to teach us how to keep our sustainance [sustenance]. They taught against all alcohols and strong things."
1981-0402 Public Program, Day 1, The Pure Power of Desire or Aim of Seeking, Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, 9 Nicholson Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
"But Socrates and Confucius, who were such ancient people, have talked about these Gods. That, 'We have to keep Them pleased,' and you have to keep Them all right. But those realized Souls, perhaps did not know, that's not easy to convince human beings, who are not realized Souls, about these Deities being within you.
And They are all just waiting there.
As soon as the Kuṇḍalinī rises, you start manifesting your grandeur, your great personality that awaits you. This is something not fantastic to Me, because I have seen thousands of people getting Realization, thousands of them feeling the Cool Breeze, thousands of them transforming."
1983-0302 Public Program, Day 1, Town Hall, Hay Street and Barrack Street, Perth, WA, Australia
"Now when this center is illumined, around it is illumined your sustainance [sustenance]. That's your Inner Religion.
The ... we call it Ten Incarnations of the Primordial Master. There are many who came, but the Ones who came in India was called as Brahmadeva uh ... was called as Dattātreya, Janaka, Rāja Janaka, the father of Sītā. In China, Lao Tze, Confucius. In uh, in the Bible, Abraham and Moses. And later on, in the uh form of uh Muhammad Sāhab. And then Janaka. No, no, Nāṇaka, I'm sorry, Nāṇaka. Nāṇak Sāhab. And in Greece, it was Socrates. They took birth on all these places. In the end, about fifty years back, or hundred years back, was born Great Primordial Master, in India, in Śhirḍī.
[Helping with the translation:] In Śhirḍī."
1983-0831 Public Program, Day 3, Geneva, Switzerland
"Now, since long, from ancient times, we have been hearing about the Spirit: that, 'We are the Spirit,' 'We have to become the Spirit.' Whether you take Confucius, or you have Lao Tze, or you have any Indian philosopher, or you may be having any one of the others in the West where Christ has said many a times that, 'We have to be the Spirit.'
......
So, first of all forget about your mental processes.
For example, a person who is a very highly person uh realizable Soul, whom Confucius calls as a Superior Man – He call him a Superior Man, imagine! According to Confucius, a man who is rich, who is well-educated is not superior. He is a primitive person. [Laughing:] Compared to a person who is a developed, evolved personality, according to be superior, all others are primitive people, at a lower level. That's how He describes them: Superior Men. You see, to Him: only the Superior Men can understand humanity.
He talks, because He was of that level, so He talked on that level, on the Superior Man.
So the Superior Man, who is within us, who has to manifest itself, is the personality which resides, which has to express itself when we ... our attention reaches that state. Attention has to reach that state and not our mental process and all the yarn that comes out of it.
So, first of all, the thinking has to be stopped."
1984-1122 Public Program, Hampstead Town Hall Centre, 213 Haverstock Hill, London NW3 4QP, UK
"Now, in the beginning, I am going to tell you: how medically we suffer with this kind of a treatment that we have.
I am not to, in any way, uh-uhh cast any how, anything wrong about the doctors. I have also done medicine Myself and I know what one has to do about it.
But there should be an open-mindedness of a doctor, that he should see that, 'There could be a better way of understanding this medicine, from a higher point of view, if you can become a superior personality,' what Confucius had said.
To achieve that superior personality, one need not have to go to medical college or do his uh other higher studies, but just it is something he has to find within himself.
......
And that is what is dharma: is the ten valences within us. These ten valances are nothing but dharma, which was preached by all the Great Saints. We can start it from Ādināth, we can say Lao Tze, we can say Confucius, we can say Zoroaster, we can say Muhammad Sāhab, we can say Nāṇak Sāhab, we can say Janaka, we can say the, all of Them are the representation or manifestation of Dattātreya, which we know very well in Maharashtra what is Dattātreya.
But despite all that, we do not know: we'll worship Dattātreya, and we will not follow Him.
This is the only problem we have. That: we have all the ideals, we have all the capacity to understand that this is something great, but we have no power to follow it. Because we are not Samartha, we are not equal to the meaning of a human being."
1984-1205 Public Program (English+Marathi), Day 2, Pune, Maharashtra, India
"For example, now you are walking, and you are blind, supposing. Now I will say, 'All right. You take your first step first.' This is the first step. And He said, "First step was Self-realization." He [Lord Buddha] said, "First you get your Self-realization."
Confucius, on the contrary of that, He said, "All right. Let us start seeing in the communities." You see, He believed in the communities, how it works out in the society, in the people, in the collective. Because He Himself was a realized Soul and He could see that it will work out more on the collective.
But Buddha said, "First you get your Realization." There's no way out."
1985-0303 Public Program, Adelaide, SA, Australia
"Then we have people, in other countries, like Abraham, like Moses, we have Confucius, Lao Tze, we have Kṛiṣhṇa, Rāma, all of Them have said one thing, and one thing: that, "You seek your Spirit." "
1985-0419 Public Program, The Seeking of the Spirit, Hall, Bull Street, Birmingham, UK
"So you have to feel the capitalism within you, you have to feel the communism within you. You have to feel the humanism of Confucius within you. Whatever has been talked about, the theories, all that we had of a sublime nature, all are to be felt! The sublimity is to be felt within us, giving us joy. Even the virtue, the righteousness, the goodness, the sweetness, has to be felt within us giving us joy! We should enjoy our virtue!"
1985-0507 Public Program, Day 2, Śhraddhā is Faith after Enlightenment, Technische Hochschule, Gusshausstraße 25, Vienna, Austria
"They have described that, 'Through the ascent of the Kuṇḍalinī only you can reach your Spirit.' All the Upaniṣhadas, which are the second part of the Vedas, all of them have described the Kuṇḍalinī. Only thing, the difference is: that some said, 'By doing this, by doing that,' 'By uh abstinence,' some said, 'By accepting uh the right part, the central part,' 'By building up your balance,' all these different, different style of things to modulate a human being to lead a moderate life, they have built up their own literature.
But every one of them exist: exist because they want to talk about your ascent to be the Spirit. There's nothing else but that! That's the basic point!
And Kuṇḍalinī is the Fundamental Power which has to be awakened: all of them have the same.
But it happens: that a person who is more extrovert, always tries to go to something new. [Drinks water.] And when he tries to go to something new, he forgets that: 'There has been a tradition of that for ages! And why should we suddenly accept a new idea?'
Confucius, Socrates, Abraham, Moses, later on Christ, all of Them have talked about the Spirit.
Muhammad Sāhab has talked about the Kuṇḍalinī, calling It a 'Asas.
And the word Kuṇḍalinī also is ... has a meaning that it is a coiled-up energy."
1985-0508 Public Program, Day 1, This Is the Knowledge of the Roots, Deutsches Museum, Münich, Germany
"So the ascent of the Kuṇḍalinī is a living process within you, which works out the Self-realization, the Second Birth as Christ has said, as Muhammad Sāhab has said, "You have to be a Walī," as Lao Tze has said, and Confucius has described. We have Nāṇaka and Janaka who have talked about it. That it is within us, and we have to achieve it within ourselves.
......
For the first time you start enjoying another person without lust or greed.
Once in Calcutta [Kolkata], I was staying in a hotel, and we had about three, four Sahaja Yogis in another room. And the owner of the hotel came to Me: "Mother, please give me Realization." And when he got his Realization, all of them from their rooms came running! "What has happened, we are feeling so joyous?" I said, "See, the vibrations of this man! Feel the vibrations!" And they stood there, for at least half an hour, enjoying him and he enjoying them. No thought passed. They did not know he was the owner of the hotel, or he ... they ... he did not know who they were, from what part of the country! Pure joy of humanity which Confucius has described. You could feel: real, true friendship of purity."
1985-0509 Public Program, Day 2, Habit Comes to You from Matter, Münich, Germany
"Like in China, Confucius said that, "You must become very virtuous, righteous," because the Chinese were lethargic farmers, "and you must work," humanism He started. But now they found out that now they are going too much towards it. So Lao Tze came. You see, They had to work it out, because some people move like a pendulum on one side, then They have to move them on the other side. Lao Tze came, He talked about Tao."
1985-0627 Public Program, Day 2, Chakras, Elements and Their Qualities, Colegio Mayor Chaminade, Paseo de Juan XXIII, No. 9, Madrid, Spain
"Even when Confucius talked of humanism, it was needed at that time when people were lethargic."
1985-0701 Press Conference, Room, Résidence Palace - International Press Center (IPC), Wetstraat 155 – Blok C, Brussels, Belgium
"Now when I'm talking to you about the mechanism that is built within us for our last breakthrough, you need not believe Me.
In our country also, this knowledge was kept a secret for thousands of years. Though we can say people like Mārkaṇḍeya, whose dates could be fourteen thousand [years ago], or later on, up to Ādi Śhaṅkarāchārya, people did write about the Kuṇḍalinī.
And at the time of Ādi Śhaṅkarāchārya, He very clearly talked about it. That was the tradition of evolution described in all these great Scriptures.
Even in the Bible, you find the Tree of Fire. It says: "I will appear before you as tongues of flames."
Even Muhammad Sāhab, who came much later, very clearly, very, very clearly, and elaborately, at length, talked about the Resurrection Day. He said: "At the Time of Resurrection, your hands will speak."
But everybody missed the point.
Zoroaster talked about it thousands of years back. Confucius, Lao Tze, everyone talked about it: that, 'We have to be the Spirit.'
Christ clearly said: "You are to be born-again!" Then Nicodemus asked Him: "Do you mean to say, I should enter into the womb of my mother?" "No," He said, "whatever is born of the flesh is the flesh. You are to be born of the Holy Ghost." "
1985-0703 Public Program, Day 1, Nederlands Congresgebouw (now World Forum), Churchillplein 10, The Hague, Netherlands
"When they talked, say, about the flowers, say, they talked that they are Gods, like Socrates talked about Gods, like Confucius talked about Gods. When they talked, 'We have to please our Gods,' we started doubting. 'What Gods He's talking about?' Whatever They saw we could not see. All right.
Then they thought, "No use talking about Gods. If you talk about Gods, then it becomes a, sort of a worship of something that is a flower. We talk about flower, then we think, 'We have become God.' And we talk about flower all the time!" "
1985-0920 Public Program, Memorial Hall, City Hall, Sheffield, UK
"You may read the books written by famous personalities like Socrates, Lao Tze, Confucius, who have said, "One should get one's Self-realization.
Mostly, people say that, "We are doing meditation." Meditation is a state of mind, it is not done, it just happens."
1986-0401 Public Program (Hindi), Day 2, Ghanaśhyām das Birla Sabhaghar, 29 Ashutosh Choudhry Avenue, Near Birla Mandir, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal, India
"It's so heartening, that I find it difficult to express it in human words the way I envisage the vision that your founder must have thought of. I'm sure, he must have been a realized Soul himself.
Apart from that, he looks like Confucius to Me. As Confucius has talked of humanism, in the same manner, he has organized this beautiful organization of Lions here.
......
In the same way, this-s Lion word makes Me understand, that the gentleman who has-s founded this – what's the name is, so Mister? ......
... Mister Melvin Jones, must have been a great personality. And in his vision, he perhaps has seen that one day you might come to Sahaja Yoga to understand the working of this organization.
Just like Confucius. Confucius wanted to establish a quality of people, a category of people, who would have a feeling for others. As we say in sāmājikata [sociality], or the public-minded people. Just like Confucius. Confucius wanted to establish a quality of people, a category of people, who would have a feeling for others. As we say in sāmājikata [sociality], or the public-minded people."
1986-1009 Public Program (6th Day of Navarātri), Lions Club International, G.D. Birla Sabahghar, 29, Ashutosh Choudhry Avenue, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal, India
"If you read Lao Tze, Confucius and all the great philosophers, they all have talked about achieving Self-realization."
1986-1011 Public Program (Hindi) (8th Day of Navarātri), Sahajyog ke Anubhav (Experience of Sahaja Yoga), Ice Skating Ring, Kolkata, West Bengal, India (place and date not sure)
"Those who have understood Sahaja Yoga have understood that all these barriers of religion has [have] no meaning. It‘s all integrated, well-woven, and worked out beautifully, by sending all these Incarnations, all these Great Prophets, on this Earth, to create the humanities which is described by Confucius, to create valenc[y], our valencies, which are ten valencies that we call dharma, of a Human Dharma, which is described by Confucius. It is described in different, different ways, no doubt, but, still, He says the same thing, same tone. "
1987-0322 Public Program, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
"If you go to a temple, every temple has got uh-uh-uh nice uh arrangement for you to get possessed. [Laughter.]
Or even a church, or a mosque, where God has to reside, you find suddenly you get attacked. and you come out absolutely puzzled about yourself, ending up into lunatic asylums.
So what sort of worshiping places are these, where you go to find God and you get the horrible satanic forces acting on you?
That's why in the modern times, people have become so very confused. We do not find truth in anything: in any ideologies, any philosophies, anything that started, say, Confucius started humanism, Socrates started another thing, Muhammad Sāhab started another thing.
Like Muhammad Sāhab said. "Let us not worship God as an idol. Let us worship Him in the Nirākāra," in the Formless God."
1987-0712 Guru Pūjā, Tent, Marque, Back Garden, Śhuddhi Camp (now The Hall, Shudy Camps Park), Shudy Camps, Cambridgeshire, UK
"As we had very great people ... uh ... on this Earth, I have given you the names, as we said there are, there have been Ten Gurus, uh ... starting from Ādināth [Ṛiṣhabhadeva, first Tīrthaṅkara in Jainism], we had Confucius, we had Socrates, and later on we had Abraham, Moses and also up to Śhirḍī Sāī Nāth, we had about Ten Great Gurus, now we have so many here sitting down. They are all gurus, and they have to behave like gurus and they have to the ... do the job of Great Gurus."
1988-0731 Guru Pūjā, The First Principle of the Guru Is the Gravity (First Thing and Foremost Thing Is that We Must Have Gravity in Temperament and Value System of a Balance and You Have to Become the Fruits of Sahaja Yoga), Tent, Grounds around Annapurna Atiram Aparthotel, Pont d'Ansalonga, Ansalonga, Andorra
"So that's how we have the people who have been doing something for the country, for their uh own generation, talking about it.
In the same way we had very great Saints also, from Confucius, and also we have seen Moses, Abraham, how They tried to uh remove poverty and the slavery from people and to bring them to uh a free country, They worked very hard."
1988-1220 Pūjā (English+Marathi), Garden, little House, Brahmapuri, Maharashtra, India
"And now the Chinese Government said they were following what you call, Confucius, Confucius because He talked about humanity. He said that humanity's important and the collective.
But without Realization how do you understand collectivity? Otherwise how could they kill their own people? If they were realized Souls they would not have killed these young [unclear] there.
So there's a big reaction, when I went to China there's a very big reaction, and so many Chinese came to My program saying, 'This is happening, in America, because there's a reaction against Chinese style of suppression.' "
1990-0228 Talk to Sahaja Yogis, in Transit, Changi Airport, Singapore
"This is all absolutely traditional but is not a dead tradition.
It's like the Tree of Spirituality, which had very few flowers. Now the tree has evolved, and there are many flowers. So, it is not hanging in the air or something new. But, supposing, you see a flower on the tree, it's a new thing you feel, but it's built in.
Is all built in, coming through all the traditions of the world.
Everyone has said that, "You must seek your Self"! Everyone has said. There's no .... no Scripture that has not said so. That's what it is!
But, how to achieve it, is rarely described, and one step forward is that: you can achieve it en mass. That's what is, we can say, the evolution in this spiritual method has reached.
All of them were born on the Tree of Life. All of them: one [Tree of Life], at different times.
But people plucked the flowers, and said that, 'This is my flower,' 'This is my flower,' and are fighting with the dead flowers.
Lao Tze said the same thing, if you say, start from Confucius to Lao Tze, to this side you go ... to the other side of it uh ... uh Christ has said the same thing. I mean, endless people. Muhammad said the same thing, Abraham said the same thing, then Rāma, Kṛiṣhṇa, all of them have said the same thing. All the Saints, the real Saints of the world has [have] said the same thing. Because they knew that people are still not at that level."
1990-0306 Public Program, Day 1, Camberwell Civic Center, 340 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Sahaja Yogi: [Summarizes a gentleman:] "Is Kuṇḍalinī the only force in this particular time, that will do this particular job?"
Śhrī Mātājī: No, all the time this was the force, all the time. Is all the time, this was the force. It's called, also, in the Bible it is said, that, about the Tree of Life, is this mechanism. Also said that, "I'll p... appear before you as tongues of flames," is the Kuṇḍal... the ... when the Kuṇḍalinī rises, then your centers look like that. So many things there are even in the Bible. In everything, in Qur'ān it is called as 'Asas. The names are different, but it is so.
Like Tao is the Kuṇḍalinī. Tao as described, is also Kuṇḍalinī.
Zen system, Zen also means the same, Dhyāna, is the same thing.
Confucius talked of the same thing, Socrates talked of the same thing.
But only thing it was not so said so clearly. Because there were not people intelligent as you are today, to understand [laughing:] it, I think, that it was not said so clearly.
1990-0314 Public Program, Day 2, Auckland, New Zealand
"In the early days-s-s, thousands of years back, all over the world there were realized Souls. You can start right from Abraham, to Moses, to Confucius. In India there were many great Saints: Ādināth [Ṛiṣhabhadeva, first Tīrthaṅkara in Jainism], from that, Nāth Pānthis they were called as.
Their job was just to give awakening to people."
1990-0315 Public Program, Department of Religious Studies, University, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
"All the Saints have said that, "You have to know your Self." Unless and until you know your Self, the illusion and the ignorance won't go.
If you see in the Chinese, right from Confucius, Lao Tze, all of them have talked about it. For Christians, Christ has said the same thing. For Sikhs, Guru Nāṇaka has the said the same thing, that, "You must seek the Truth." "
1990-1101 Public Program, Day 1, Girls Guide Hall, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
"So what we need is a transformation.
And the time has come for us to achieve the transformation, which is described in all the Scriptures: in the Bible it is dexcribed [described] as the Second Birth, even in the Hindu Scripture is described as the Brahmagyān, or you can call it again the Second Birth, dvijaḥ, it is described in the Bib... in the Qur'ān, is described in all the Buddha's teachings, described by Mahāvīra, is described by Nāṇaka, by all the religious people, even Confucius has talked about it, Lao Tze has talked about it."
1991-0416 Public Program, Day 1, State Theatre, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
"We had Confucius there. They follow more Confucius now. Our Confucius who has talked about general well-being and all that, [unclear]. But uh not so much about Ta-o: that they don't talk."
1992-0211 Talk to Sahaja Yogis, We Are So Powerful, in Transit, Airport, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
"This-s old science is not only from India. It comes from everywhere. As I told you Confucius knew this, Socrates knew this, and, also, many people like William Blake and C.S. Lewis, all these people knew about it.
But nobody could put it through to people because, I think, people did not want to accept it."
1992-0226 Public Program, Christchurch Town Hall (now Christchurch Town Hall of the Performing Arts), 86 Kilmore Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch, New Zealand
Śhrī Mātājī: [It is] as if the Mahālakṣhmī Principle holds the reins. And you cannot cross the limits: you cannot go too much to the left or to the right.
By this Principle you realize what is wrong with the outside religions. You realize also that inside all the religions are born like flowers on the same of Tree of Spirituality. And automatically you start worshiping all the Prophets, right from Abraham, Moses, Confucius, Lao Tze, Muhammad Sāhab, Nāṇak.
Sahaja Yogi translator: Mh-hm?
Guido Lanza: Confucius, Lao Tze, Nāṇak.
Śhrī Mātājī: You worship Them! It is not that you have respect, but you worship.
And thus you lose the barriers of fundamentalism.
1993-0908 Śhrī Mahālakṣhmī Pūjā, National Palace of Culture (NDK), Boulevard Bulgaria, 1463 NDK, Sofia, Bulgaria
[Talking about Confucius and Lao Tze, She said that all these Masters talked to people, in the language suitable for the times. Whereas Confucius came to teach about humanity, Lao Tze talked of Tao, which is nothing but Kuṇḍalinī.]
1993-1113 Interview with Prof. Yuriy A. Voronov, Moscow, Russia
Śhrī Mātājī: [Holding the red statue:] This is the one for what?
Sahaja Yogi: Confucius.
Sahaja Yoginī: Confucius.
Śhrī Mātājī: Huh?
Sahaja Yogi: [unclear].
Sahaja Yogis: Confucius.
Śhrī Mātājī: Oh, ...
Another Sahaja Yogi: Guru!
Śhrī Mātājī: ... is Confucius!
He too has [gesturing beating with a stick]. [Touching it:] You see? [Some soft laughter.]
Sahaja Yogi: The stick.
Śhrī Mātājī: [Touches the statue.] Why such an expensive one?
Great. It's very well done. [Inclining the statue and looking at its base:] Is it written here Confucius?
Sahaja Yogi: Yes.
Śhrī Mātājī: All right. Thank you very much. But you have to bring it to India when you come.
Sahaja Yogi: Yes, I will.
Śhrī Mātājī: Hāṃ [yes].
Such expensive thing you should not have bought.
Sahaja Yogi: Very ... very good price, Mother.
1994-0424 Talk to Sahaja Yogis, Attention Should Be on Collective Things, Peninsular Hotel, Hong Kong, China
"But already, I must say, Japan is blessed. Also China has this Ta-o. And some Japanese used to follows [follow] Tao. Now [in China] they believe in Confucius."
1995-0301 Talk to Sahaja Yogis, Zen System or Sahaja Yoga is also Zen, before Public Program, Four Seasons Hotel, Tokyo, Japan
"In your country, you had very great philosophers once upon a time. Of course, you believe in humanism, uh ... but there was another great, great philosopher, who was called as Lao Tze, of a very high spirituality, like a Great Incarnation of a Master.

Confucius has taught the humanity how we can improve our relations with other human beings."

"Confucius is all right, 'But for what we should become good?,' is the point, people will ask. 'Why should we be good people?' People can ask such a question, 'What is the need to be good, to be balanced?'
We too had many, like this, who talked that, 'We have to be in balance, we have to be moral. And we have to be righteous people.'
But, 'For what is this balance?',' we have to find out.
This balance is for the ultimate ascent. And unless and until we achieve that ascent, nothing can satisfy us."

"They had two great philosophers, but the greatest was Lao Tze, who talked about Kuṇḍalinī, Realization, everything. Confucius talked about humanity. So they believe in Confucius because [it] suits communism."

"Now this, special thing as called as Kuṇḍalinī, is not to be discarded because It's coming from India.
It has been described in every Scripture. Even in the Bible is described, that, "I'll appear before you like tongues of flames."
[Pointing to the Chakra Chart:] These are the tongues of flames you see, along the path of the Kuṇḍalinī.
Also Muhammad Sāhab has said very clearly, in His Qur'ān, that: "If you want to know God, you must know your Self."
Christ has said: "Know thy Self."
All of Them had said the same thing!
If you see Zen system, or Lao Tze, Confucius, any one of Them, They all said that, "Unless and until you-know ... you know your Self, you are not there. You have no identity."

"The Primordial Master was also born as Macchindranāth, and again as Zoroaster who was worshiped by the ancient Persians, and still revered by Parsis. Earlier He had taken birth as Abraham and later as Moses, the Fathers of Judaism. In China He was born as Confucius and as Lao Tze, and in Greece as Socrates. He took a very significant Incarnation as Muhammad Sāhib, the Messenger (Paigambar) and founder of Islam, whose daughter Fāṭimah was Sītā reborn, an Incarnation of Ādi Śhakti. She was the origin of the Shiya sect among the Muslims (in Indian dialect Sītā is called Shiya). Yet again He took birth as Guru Nāṇak, founder of the Sikh religion, whose sister was Nāṇakī (Jānakī, i.e., Sītā). Most recently He was born as Śhrī Sāī Bābā of Śhirḍī in the Indian State of Maharashtra where He died in 1918. Altogether there were ten major Avatāras of Dattātreya."

"Religious fundamentalism and fanaticism have already become a threat to World Peace. We had a discussion with some religious people in Italy and they refused to accept a religion which was global. They wanted to have exclusive religions. In this way they promote conflict between the followers of one religion and those of another. They believe that killing others in the name of religion is their duty. On the other hand all the great philosophers, Incarnations, Prophets and Sufis have never talked about any exclusive religion. Confucius first talked about humanity, but then came Tao of Lao Tze who tried to bring the subtle side of humanity. This Tao is something like the Kuṇḍalinī of Sahaja Yoga. I have traveled through the Yangtze River. This voyage on a boat gave me a unique experience and enabled me to understand Lao Tze very well. This river is a very dangerous one in the beginning for boats to pass through. There are lots of currents which flow in different directions. But along the side of this river there are beautiful manifestations of nature. The very steep, rising mountains that we see in the paintings of the Chinese are all to be seen there with rivers flowing between them. It is very beautiful to see the bank of the Yangtze River. As Lao Tze had said: "It may be very beautiful and attractive outside, but you should keep your mind inside and ply through the Yangtze River". This is very significant, but how many understand what He has said? How many have tried to follow Him? In China many people do not seem to care much for Lao Tze and His Tao, but there will come a time when they will realize that that is the subtle side of humanity."
